Building Demolishment in Krukut Riverbank Began

South Jakarta Administration is about to demolish buildings standing to normalize Krukut River in Kemang and Petogongan areas.

Mr. Mayor will lead the demolishment at two locations, namely Pop Kemang Hotel and Petogongan riverbank

"Mr. Mayor will lead the demolishment at two locations, namely Pop Kemang Hotel and Petogongan riverbank," expressed Lestari Ady Wiryono, Head of South Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Public Relation Sub-dept, Wednesday (10/12).

Meeting Related with Krukut Riverbank Controlling Held

According to the survey results of Spatial Planning Sub-dept since September, the Pop Hotel uses the land on the river side for security post, fence and water tank. Whereas, the land is not theirs. While in Petogongan, there are four buildings that will be demolished because the occupant does not have land certificate. 

"Four households are agreed to be relocated and has been moved to Marunda Flat, Tuesday," he stated.

The river normalization would gradually involve five sub-districts and 13 urban villages in South Jakarta. From the inventory results, 504 plots have violated the building permit (IMB).
